Treasury Manager

Books-A-Million, Inc., the nation's 2nd largest book retailer, is searching for a Treasury Manager. The position is responsible for managing the Company's daily cash functions, cash flow forecasting and analysis and bank account management. Specific responsibilities for this position include:

• Reviews daily cash position report and prepares borrowing or investing instructions

• Modeling of weekly and long-term cash flows

• Prepares all Treasury related journal entries and account reconciliations as part of month-end close

• Maintains banking relationships and account maintenance for all store level and corporate accounts

• Administers new bank account setups and establishes and maintain stores' merchant accounts

• Ensures cost saving opportunities and efficiency improvements are recognized by working with banks and merchant processors

• Routinely analyzes data, investigates and resolves issues

• Collaborates with IT and Operations departments to resolve operational and servicing issues

• Supervise Treasury Analyst and provide secondary backup to position

• Respond to Auditors' requests

• Plan and execute special projects

This position is located at the company's headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama reports to the VP, Budgeting & Treasury.

Attractive candidates will possess the following experience and skills:

Experience Required:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline

• 5+ years experience performing in a similar role

• Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work with a cross section of individuals, including executive management and external customers

• Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing

• Infor Software experience a plus

• Experience in Retail a plus
