JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
A valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate.
Must meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) federal and state Highly Qualified (HQ) requirements or a willingness to meet the requirements within the designated timeframe.
Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
JOB GOAL: To provide explicit standards-based instruction by using data to close achievement gaps in grade-level knowledge and skills.
Determines individual and class needs using pre, interim, and post-assessments.
Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences based on data.
Implements activities using a variety of techniques to utilize instructional time and meets objectives.
Exhibits positive human relation skills.
Analyzes data and using data to monitor student progress.
Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
Maintains and submits records and reports in a timely manner.
Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, state, and federal rules and regulations.
