SUMMARY:

The Market Research Analyst primarily focuses on providing research and analytical reports on market, business, and company trends. This position supports company sales efforts and campaigns including targeted customer programs. The Market Research Analyst manages and helps maintain lead analyses to enhance our in-store and digital marketing performance while driving and supporting the next stage processes on user experience that increases consumer engagement and acquisition.

JOB DUTIES

  • Researches and develops business trends for market development with data and reports on specific industries. Provides data analysis through data visualization tools to create strategic insights that accelerate sales growth and profitability of customer acquisition experience.

  • Provides in-depth analysis of growing industries. Follows and reports industry innovations and competitor activity. Analyzes and optimizes digital campaign performance with high attention to detail.

  • Produces Sales reports for both Executive Management and Field Sales Management. Performs Branch, Group, and Division customer analysis.

  • Manages third party prospect, customer and market demand database maintenance.

  • Performs Branch, Group, and Division customer analysis.

  • Supports sales marketing promotions with customer behavior trends and leads. Researches and reports on consumers, competitors, and industrial markets for guidance and marketing/sales implementation.

  • Researches and analyses customer data such as customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying data to determine buying trends for digital marketing.

  • Devises and implements methods for collecting data; such as surveys, questionnaires, and opinion polls. Provides data analysis and strategic insights to help accelerate the sales growth and profitability of the digital purchase experience.

  • Analyzes online statistics and identifies areas to optimize online marketing performance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a bachelor's degree with a focus in Economics, Marketing, Market Research, Finance, or Statistics and 0-2 years of related experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of economic trends and global strategies.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiar with SQL, R, and/or data visualization tools like Qlikview/Qliksense.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Access. Familiarity in forecasting and market analysis.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent research capabilities and data assimilation.

  • Ability to interact with primary and secondary data sources.

  • Ability to read, assimilate data, and produce summary reports with graphs and charts for executives and the field.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to translate data into business strategies that deliver measurable results.
