VCA Liberty Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (or Alabama LVT eligible) to join our team!

About Us

We are an AAHA accredited 2-doctor practice in Birmingham, Alabama.

We offer a variety of services to dogs and cats, including Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and support Fear Free practices! We offer mentorship and continuing education opportunities at our state-of-the-art animal practice.

We are open Monday through Friday 7am

• 6pm, and are closed Saturdays and Sundays.

About the Role

As LVT, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care

• Client education and care

• Venipuncture and catheter placement

• Radiology and diagnostics

• Lab sample collection and processing

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Dentistry

• Medication preparation and administration

• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint

• Medical recordkeeping
