Double Back Operator

3rd shift : 950p-6a will need to be able to train on 1st shift for 3-4 weeks

$20.40 after certified $24.59

Wears ALL PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) which includes, but is not limited to, safety toe shoes, high-viz, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Familiar with Safe Work Practices & Emergency Action Plan responsibilities

Understand and/or prepare work orders & documentation

Understands how to read wet end paperwork and roll tags

Perform quality checks on roll stock; isolate Quality issues & report them to Supervisor and/or QM

Understand and operate all equipment controls

Understand proper thread up procedures, web insertion, paper alignment, etc.

Assist in clear jam-ups and/or removal of scrap / paper

Familiar with proper start up and shut down procedures

Perform all duties in a manner which is safe for all parties involved.

Maintain good housekeeping throughout the plant, especially in work area.

Knows different types of warp and causes

Understands how to accurately account for rollstock during the shift.

Follow Reliable Methods roll handling instructions accurately.

Trained in LOTO procedures

Perform miscellaneous job functions as necessary to aid in production & quality.

Understand/demonstrate proper direction of roll unwinding(wire side/felt side of paper)

Able to clearly communicate with shift(peers, supervisor, management) either in-person or over the radio regarding splices, speed changes, web alignment, warp adjustments, paper/roll placements, paper temps, etc.

Demonstrate how to peel down a roll, if necessary, and understand cutting moon outs in paper is against Safety/plant rules.

Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day with intermittent breaks during shift.
