An experienced financial services firm located in Birmingham is looking to add a sharp and experienced customer service representative to their team.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies information on forms submitted by customers
- Answers questions and assists customers regarding benefits such as 401k, group insurance, life, and hospitalization
- Coordinates the transmission of customers eligibility files to insurance companies
- May perform routine aspects of benefit accounting and reconciliation; Miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Responds to benefit inquiries from customers and resolves in a timely manner
- Explains and interprets company insurance program to customers
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- High School degree required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work autonomously in a self-paced, self-motivated team environment
- High level attention to detail, multi-tasking, and ability to organize work;
- Ability to quickly assess member concerns and formulate a response/resolution using analytical and problem solving skills.
