Collection Representative

Legacy Community Federal Credit Union is looking for the right candidate to join our Collections team as a full time Collection Representative.

Legacy is committed to assisting our members in the greater Birmingham area. Additionally, we are proud to be the official credit union of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. We want to help our members Craft their Legacy by providing products and services to our members that help fulfill their financial needs. We have been loyal to the UAB and Birmingham community since 1955.

This is a full time position, with the standard hours being Monday

• 5:00 pm.

For our Collection Representative role, we are looking for someone to help us preserve Legacy's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, overdrawn checking accounts and/or past due credit card accounts.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail, takes appropriate action to bring current.

• Maintains accurate documentation and reports on all collections activity.

• Assists with courtesy pay calls.

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: High school education or GED
