Posted Yesterday 12/13/2017 12:00:00 AM<h3>Job Description</h3><div><p><strong>Real Estate - Legal Assistant</strong></p><p>Well-respected Back Bay law firm is seeking a top-notch legal assistant to support two busy partners in its Real Estate Department. </p><p>The firm seeks a candidate who will be a team player and self-starter, who possesses strong Microsoft Word abilities, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized and efficient, and has the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. </p><p><strong>Job Summary </strong></p><p>Assists Real Estate Department attorneys and paralegals with a variety of assignments and projects throughout a real estate transaction.</p><ul><li>Proofreads and assists with editing documents for grammar, formatting, and typos.</li><li>Prepare and amend real estate documents, such as leases, guaranties, P&S agreements, LLC operating agreements, mortgages, promissory notes, deeds, trustee certificates, settlement statements, UCC filings, and title insurance policies.</li><li>Create and maintain charts and spreadsheets in EXCEL.</li><li>Online title research at various registries of deeds and the Secretary of State’s office websites.</li><li>Organize documents to be recorded at the Registry of Deeds.</li><li>Assists with transaction closings and compiles closing binders.</li><li>Organizes and manages all electronic and paper files.</li><li>Assists paralegals with various tasks and assignments.</li><li>Perform day to day administrative duties. </li><li>Assist in client relations, event planning and marketing.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other computer software programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software.</li><li>Ability to navigate various electronic databases and document repositories.
