We are seeking a proven leader in sales and sales training to build and oversee a zone for our team. This opportunity has a significant opportunity for growth.

As an Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions, Zone Manager, you will achieve your sales goals and margins by developing successful territories through hiring and developing sales professionals. Use your knowledge of the industrial marketplace, sales, and operations to lead multiple sales representatives strategically and tactically. You will build on your strengths and think outside of the box while meeting / exceeding productivity objectives at both the top and bottom line. This is a highly visible position at Applied.

This is your opportunity to join one of North America's largest independent industrial distributors in a high-level Zone Manager position where you will have access to over 50,000 parts and critical products, such as fasteners, cutting tools, electrical components, hydraulics, and chemicals

JOB DUTIES:

  • Hire, develop, and coach Account Managers from new hires to veteran personnel. Use leadership by example.

  • Develop successful territories within the zone through account development.

  • Plan, control, and direct your zone's programs and activities related to sales functions and customer service

  • Drive key account growth personally and through others.

  • Anticipate or investigate problems and take corrective action

  • Provide sales personnel with time and territory management training

  • Monitor pricing, purchasing and contract adherence for the zone

To excel in this role, you will have the qualities of a successful industrial sales management professional, including an outgoing personality, intense entrepreneurial drive, a commitment to customer service and relationships, a sense of humor, and persistent follow up and coaching skills. You will:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of proven sales with tangible products, and repeat business too many different markets.

  • Proven success in developing and leading a team to accomplish area and companywide goals, including hiring, training, and coaching.

  • Have the ability to call on end users as well as senior management

  • Willing to travel overnight 40-60% of the time.

Preferred:

  • Maintenance, Repair, Operations sales experience

  • Industrial product knowledge

Job Responsibilities: ● Organize and execute turnaround (TAR) and capital projects (CAPEX) in Air Separation and Carbon Dioxide plants with spending from $100,000 to $10,000,000 and are 1 week to 6 weeks in length. ● Develop detailed plans/strategies for execution, including HSE planning, contracting and procurement strategy, project controls and staffing. ● Assist in and develop TAR scopes Manage materials and QA/QC process throughout the TAR process. ● Organize job walks and bid activities to ensure all scope, contractors and subs are clear and available for execution and meet the operating plants ● Ensure optimization of the TAR schedule and resource loading ● Recommend and manage appropriate TAR & CAPEX organization to deliver scope, schedule and cost requirements ● Ensure complete and timely integration of any Capital, Controls, Engineering or Operations projects scope within the TAR plan; report on its progress throughout the TAR process ● Ensure TAR development and execution is properly planned and staffed, including interfacing with Safety, Engineering, Controls & Operations to assure adequate participation ● Ensure all pre-TAR work is completed and materials are received prior to outage ● Manage the scope change process and discovery work cost control ● Ensure effective utilization of the Turnaround (TAR) Process for ASU, CO2 and VSA locations. ● Plans and directs all design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects.
