As the slate of Salesforce content continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced digital video expert to help us expand, define, and strategize around video on YouTube. The ideal candidate is a creative, data-driven channel management expert and wants to help the world's #1 CRM tell it's story though video.

To be a successful content & editorial leader in this role, you'll need to have excellent judgment to balance the needs of the community and the needs of our business. You'll not only be thinking through new ways to talk about Salesforce content thru video, but also larger cultural moments and trends that shape conversation for our audience. Experience overseeing video creative and production is a must; as well as the ability to strategize, ideate, explore new video opportunities across platforms, and to work across departments and build consensus within a large organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee execution of video content for the Salesforce Youtube channels - whether it's low hanging fruit, like a list or clip pull, or a bigger talent-driven production

  • Create and advance a long-term strategy to move our presence on YouTube forward - whether that's through the existing channels, or creating new ones

  • Coordinate with social teams on strategy and execution for video across

  • Develop audiences to meet ambitious growth goals without compromising creative integrity

  • Manage an agency relationships and work with our team of writers, video producers, and video optimizers

  • Build relationships within and outside Salesforce to increase the access and credibility of Salesforce editorial video channels

  • Work closely with our cross-functional partners (Salesforce Studios, PR, Creative, Content, Cloud PMMs, Industry PMMs, and Documentation teams) to advocate making platform-specific video content

  • Build and manage budgets

  • Stay on top of YouTube and other social video trends, timely events, and upcoming title launches to seize on reactive opportunities

  • Be experimental with content, take risks with what you're creating, be ambitious and original.

The ideal candidate is/has....

  • Deep knowledge of the YouTube platform and potential audiences you can tap into

  • Certification in YouTube channel growth (among other YouTube certifications)

  • Proven track record of developing audiences and increasing engagement on YouTube

  • A background in YouTube content creation, and an understanding of video across all social platforms

  • Thorough understanding of the YouTube landscape, as well as other social platforms: building and managing communities, platform best practices, and consumer behavior

  • Solid understanding of marketing and social media analytics and can apply a data-centric approach to the testing and optimization of content

  • High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Clear, effective communication skills and the confidence to advocate for our team and our audience in a room where talent or executives may have differing opinions

  • Strong global IQ and is comfortable working with teams from different regional markets

  • The ability to tell an engaging, cohesive story through video content

  • Respect and understanding for Salesforce culture #OneTeam

  • Meaningful experience working directly with talent and talent representation, in meetings and on shoots/sets.

  • Solid presentation skills: You'll be presenting our marketing plans to show runners, producers, talent, and executives.

  • Strong perspective with the flexibility to graciously and gracefully pivot when new information is presented

Background and skills

  • 4-7 years experience managing a major brand's YouTube presence

  • We're looking for a seasoned expert in digital video, who specializes in the YouTube space.

  • Someone who's had experience building and leading a team, as well as creating content and thinking strategically about how to make a channel successful.

  • While this role will be more about managing content creators and agencies than about making individual videos, you should still be filled with ideas and creativity that you can infuse into this space.

  • You are comfortable operating within the YouTube space, but keen to push its boundaries and willing to take risks where others won't.

Assigned to channel partners based on geography, channel, or market, the Channel Manager is responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives. The Channel Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned partners though may focus on a specific solution or product set such as TPX's UCx Unified Communications. The Channel Manager reports to the Vice President of Channel Sales. Reports to (Supervisor/Manager): Reports to VP Channel Sales. Direct Reports: None. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts. * Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners' expectations. * Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts. * Proactively leads a defined joint partner onboarding planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. * Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis. * Sells for, with and through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources. * Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement. * Leads solution development efforts that best address end user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel. * Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements and contracts. * Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners. From Agent Manager JD: * Train TPx Agents on products, order process, support procedures, portals, commissions and pricing to secure new revenue with business customers. * Responsible for initial and ongoing sales training and strategic planning. * Recruit new agents to sign agent agreements with TPx. * Assist agents to create, present and close opportunities with potential customers. * Provide ongoing agent channel management by tracking productivity, making program modifications when necessary and forecasting. * Secure monthly sales, implement sales promotions and launching new products services. * Communicate contract terms to channel partners. Ensure that all new agreements are properly executed. * Provide accurate weekly and monthly forecasting and sales funnels to management * Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by Human Resources, Sales Operations and Market. * Provide ongoing communication of product, process or policy changes to your assigned agents. * As necessary, troubleshoot and communicate issues to various internal departments for resolution * Offer our agents exemplary response to all forms of communication via phone, email or fax. * Providing competitive feedback to sales management and marketing on a consistent basis. * Attend meetings as requested to assist in the development of our products and channel direction. * Collaborate with Sales Operations to resolve customer and Channel Partner related issues. Desired Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: * A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing is preferred; * Four or more (4+) years of channel sales experience in a business to-business sales environment. * Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. In Agent Manager JD, * Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience. * 5 years sales experience working within the Telecommunications industry * Minimum of 3 years sales experience working within the Agent Channel either for a carrier or Telecom Agency * Proven successful performance in a sales position with the ability to close and cement sales * Proven track record of selling multiple products to customers and sales performance achievement in past positions * Proven track record with being able to work with all departments to promote sales, assist in provisioning or resolve customer issues. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere. * Solid math skills and the ability to analyze order and forecast data. * Strong written/verbal communications skills including experience dealing directly with customers. * Excellent presentation skills. * Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office. * High degree of flexibility in handling assignments and the ability to adapt to change in the work environment. * Capable of working in a fast-past environment. * Must be detail oriented and a highly organized team player.
