JOB SUMMARY:

In accordance with agency Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals, the Youth Substance Use Treatment Team Leader provides clinical guidance, supervision, and training for the assigned treatment team.This position ensures the completion of all required documentation, adhering to all accrediting bodies and agency standards and expectations.Provides effective leadership to staff by creating a positive work environment and ensures that all services are delivered in a strengths-based and person-centered manner.This position will also provide clinical group and individual therapy to enrolled Youth CSTAR clients.

II. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hires, trains, and provides supervision and on-going training/guidance for the Substance Use Community Support Specialist, and Prevention Specialists.

  • Provides oversight regarding the services delivered through the Youth CSTAR program and Prevention Program and ensures best practice models are implemented and adhered to.

  • Coordinates and oversees all referrals into the Youth CSTAR program assuring that admission/continued stay criteria are met as outlined by program standards and regulations.

  • Completes the clinical assessment and wellness plan including a complete diagnostic assessment, within the electronic medical record (EMR) for clients on assigned team.

  • Ensures all services are delivered and documented in a timely and clinically appropriate manner in the electronic medical record per agency policy.

  • Effectively collaborates with other youth programs to ensure appropriate services are in place which support successful recovery for clients served.

  • Maintains on-going communication with team members, school personnel, and community partners as needed to facilitate on-going collaboration among stakeholders.

  • Provides community outreach and education to other agency departments to ensure clients are referred to the CSTAR program and prevention program appropriately.

  • Oversees staff performance/productivity standards and provides coaching and problem-solving to resolve areas of concern.

  • Actively participates in the quality improvement process by conducting chart reviews and monitoring of required documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Serves as an ambassador of the agency to build partnerships with local school-districts and community agencies.

  • Participates in and meets ethical/agency/funding source standards regarding all treatment and documentation practices, Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement procedures, utilization management and emergency/crisis procedures.

  • Oversees data collection and reporting for department specific grants.

  • Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling Preferred; along with a provisional or full licensure with the state of Missouri.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in the behavioral health field and substance use experience

  • Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor preferred

  • Proven written/verbal communication skills including accurate report writing

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

  • Maintains standards of agency and privileging policies and procedures.

  • Must acquire and maintain required training per agency policy and DMH regulations to include documented attendance of professional development/training or education.

Supervised by the Director of Youth Services
