Youth Service Center Coordinator (2024-2025) - Hebron Middle / Zoneton Middle

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Seeking Youth Services Center Coordinator to support students in grades 6-8. Will implement programs determined by an Advisory Council and the needs of the two schools served.

Will collaborate with community partners to promote academic achievement, positive physical & mental health, and a successful transition into high school. Will make referrals for students in crisis, design drug and alcohol preventative initiatives, support college & career exploration and work respectfully with students, staff and families of varying backgrounds.

Ideal candidate has experience with budget operations, crisis management and event planning. Must possess a current Driver's License as home visits will be made as needed.

Some evening and weekend work is required. Capacity to lift 5-10lb will be used often.

The position is 7.5 hours per day and 240 days per year. Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits - see below)

• Four year degree required. Must provide transcript to HR upon recommendation to hire.

• Three years of relevant experience with youth and families is preferred.

Step 5 $64,517

Salary will be adjusted depending upon number of days remaining of the 240 days per year contract.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks. This position is considered a twelve month employee on the pay schedule.
