JOB DESCRIPTION.

Youth Program Leaders are responsible for assisting students with homework, implementing arts & craft/special activities, and for supervising children in the program. Their mission is to support the healthy social/emotional development of children enrolled in the program in line with Early Childhood Development best practices. This includes using behavioral reinforcement programs, behavioral strategies to address problematic behavior, and strength based approaches.

JOB COMPLEXITY.

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the program while maintaining ratios and visual supervision

  • Redirect inappropriate child behavior, utilize behavioral strategies and notify Site Director as appropriate

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months experience working, volunteering and/or interning with school-aged children programs such as daycares, recreation programs, social service agencies

  • Ability to substitute at other licensed locations throughout San Diego

  • Must have at least 9 units and currently enrolled in at 3 units in early education, child, growth & development, recreation, humanities, or education including college work-study, volunteer or internship

  • Must provide proof of Fully Vaccinated status

We hope to connect with you soon.</p><p>JOB DESCRIPTION.</p><p>Klassic Kids is a licensed childcare fee-based program offered at multiple sites throughout San Diego County. This program provides a safe and nurturing environment based on social- emotional principles to support children's well-being and school success.</p><p>This position will provide coverage for an assigned site in the absence of a Site Director. Responsibilities include, supervision and interaction with students on a daily basis, individually and via group and the timely completion of paperwork. The Itinerant Site Director provides stability, structure and organization to the assigned site.</p><p>When there are no Site Director vacancies, the Itinerant Site Director will provide support to sites needing coverage.</p><p>JOB COMPLEXITY.</p><ul><li><p>Prepare monthly billing and payroll summary forms</p></li><li><p>Monitor the site budget to ensure the fiscal sustainability of the program</p></li><li><p>Represent program by attending site, school and community functions as needed</p></li><li><p>Responsible for the physical facility including janitorial or custodial duties</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement programs to provide a diverse creative mix of sports, recreation, arts and crafts, enrichment, educational (homework), and special activities that are age and interest appropriate</p></li></ul><p>MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.</p><ul><li><p>Must be 18 years of age</p></li><li><p>Must be CPR and First Aid certified</p></li><li><p>15 semester units at an accredited college plus 4 years of teaching, AA degree with a major in child development plus 2 years of teaching experience or BA degree in Child Development plus 1 year of teaching. All education must include 3 units in administration or staff relations and 12 units in early education, child, growth &amp; development, recreation, humanities, or education</p></li><li><p>Meet Community Care Licensing Directors Qualifications, Section 101515</p></li><li><p>Minimum 2 years administration experience in a licensed or comparable group child care program, with a working knowledge of staff coaching and supervision, public relation, marketing and fiscal management</p></li><li><p>Essential skills in the area of sports, games, crafts, special interests and/or hobbies</p></li><li><p>Reliable automobile, valid CA Driver's license and maintain proof of current automobile insurance</p></li><li><p>Current health screen, negative TB test, and immunizations against Measles, Pertussis and annual Influenza (or signed an annual declaration declining the Influenza shot)</p></li><li><p>Must receive Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)</p></li><li><p>Ability to substitute at other licensed locations throughout San Diego</p></li><li><p>Must provide proof of Fully Vaccinated status</p></li></ul><p>Please see the attachment to view the FULL job description.</p><br> Harmonium San Diego CA
