Essential Job Functions

  • Works under the supervision of Program Coordinator to organize and promote, sports (soccer) games and educational activities.

  • Organize activities and provide instructional support to the participants. Provide skill instruction for activity play.

  • Work with other staff members to set up and break down the day's programming. This includes, but not limited to; the equipment, instructional material and waiting until all participants have left for the day.

  • Appropriately engage participants in scheduled activities.

  • Help ensure participants safety through proper supervision, attention and inspection of the area for safety hazards.

  • Act as a role model by displaying proper and respectful behavior and language with participants and staff at all times.

  • Must be able to handle disputes.

  • Other duties may be assisting in daily program execution including providing structure, consistency and support for program.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Perform related work as required.

  • Must have current Maryland State driver's license and have reliable transportation.

  • Have the ability, patience and enthusiasm to work with youth.

  • Have Advance knowledge of sports (soccer).

  • Have experience working and interacting with children.

  • Give youth developmental and emotional support.

  • Must complete CPR and First Aid certification with in the first ninety day of hire.

  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of social/emotional issues facing youth. Bilingual preferred.

  • Work hours include weekends and evening.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in working with youth including but not limited to one year of experience in facilitating recreation program activities, or a related field.

EDUCATION:

Must have completed high school and be 21 years of age or older.

The Lead Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the efficient operations of the local occupational health program working with the Occupational Health Campus Manager. Customers served includes but not limited to AHC employees, physicians, volunteers and patient care contractors seeking occupational health services. Services are provided in accordance with regulatory and accrediting guidelines. Helps develop and implement occupational health strategies needed for the overall service success. Responsible for local WC cost control. Leads the HCW safety initiatives. Provides focal physical exams for injured workers. Leads the new employee health assessment on-boarding process. Monitors and plans based on surveillances, data collection, trending and data analysis. Partners with management to enhance HCW safety, injury prevention, and hazard elimination plan (HEP). Is actively engaged with the HR/OH department performance improvement efforts. Qualified candidates will possess: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing * Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland required * ANCC or AANP certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner * 2-5-years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner * BLS certification from the American Heart Association * Certification in occupational health, Case Management or experience in occupational health nursing or related field preferred. * Office management experience preferred. * Ability to diplomatically work with employees and medical staff regarding occupational health or WC related issues. * Good PC skills such as Internet, email and windows environment. * Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Skype, and Workday preferred.
