PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  • Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates activities provided within multiple program areas following all licensing requirements.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Program Development and Implementation

  • Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for members and visitors

  • Utilize programs that are fun and engaging to the members in your area

  • Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure safety of members

  • Maintain a ratio of staff to members at 1:17

  • Plan, post, and follow a weekly lesson plan

Program Supervision

  • Provide active supervision continually interacting with all members and providing motivation and encouragement

  • Discipline members fairly, consistently, and only according to established policies and procedures

  • Ensures a productive work environment by participating in staff meetings and collaborating with the club team

  • Provide supervision in various program areas

Prepare Youth for Success

  • Know the Youth Development Strategy- Instill in youth a sense of Belonging, Usefulness, Influence and Competence (BUIC).

  • Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development

  • Outcomes:

  • promote and stimulate program participation

  • create opportunities for development of strengths and competencies

  • provide guidance and role modeling to members

Additional Responsibilities

  • May participate in special programs and/or events

  • May be required to be a monitor on the bus

  • May be required to help out in multiple areas as needed

  • Clean area and bathrooms as needed at the end of day

  • Completes trainings as required by licensing agency: of employment and 18 hours each additional year

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Dependability proven ability to complete all tasks as assigned in an organized manner

  • Ensures appropriate responses to all organizational correspondence using brand appropriate language and logos

  • Dedication to service demonstrated regular Attendance/Punctuality and an ability to learn and develop new skills

  • Commitment and attitude that personifies a positive attitude at all times and the ability to multi-task

  • Professionalism in appearance, ensuring that dress is professional and appropriate for function/situation based on organizational dress code policies

  • Specific Individual measurable outcomes as determined by supervisor

Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Experience working with children

  • Knowledge of youth development

  • Knowledge of Department of Education/ DHS Licensing Requirements

  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems

  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth

  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment

  • Must be flexible and be able to work well with other team members and volunteers

  • Ability to multitask

  • Problem solving skills

  • Must become CPR and First Aid Certified

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds

  • Must be able to move quickly to keep up with youth

  • Must be able to remain alert and energetic for 8 hours or more

As an Associate Team Leader for Block Advisors, you will support a single retail office during tax season to deliver a world class client experience and assist with the daily supervision of tax office associates. Prior tax preparation experience is not required as this role does not prepare taxes. You'll begin working a flexible part-time schedule in early September as you ramp up for the busy tax season and transition to a full-time schedule from January through April. After working a successful tax season, you may find that you want to apply to return for subsequent seasons, or even apply for advancement opportunities. What you'll do... * Support the Multi-Unit Team Leader, serving as onsite point of contact for tax office associates and clients, ensuring quality and consistent execution that will allow us to promote the value of Block Advisors * Execute and hold all tax office associates accountable to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) execution and client service experience, with escalation to the Multi-Unit Team Leader and District General manager as necessary * Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns * Ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolved, with escalation to the Multi-Unit Team Leader and District General Manager as necessary * Lead the office from the front desk, providing phone coverage and engaging with clients to deliver an outstanding experience * Lead daily activities to ensure that all tax office associates are scheduled, and work is completed according to deadlines, with attention to quality standards, priorities and overall goals * Lead daily huddles and communicate essential information to office associates What you'll bring to the team...
