The Greater Things After School Program is hiring a part-time Youth Coordinator to plan and implmenent the program's curriculum, following the academic calendar.

Coordination with local Corps Officer to ensure that the program meets Salvation Army mission and activity schedule;
Recruitment of volunteers to assist in the program;
Promotion of the program in schools and the community;
Recruitment of participants;
Plan monthly calendar of activities and ensuring that these activities are being carried out;
Monitor student participation and progress for program evaluation;
Maintain and monitor afterschool snack/meals for participants;
Connect and develop positive relationships with parents;
Plan quarterly Family Night activities and reach out to parents and grandparents;
Collaborate with schools and other community resources;
Maintain accurate records concerning attendance, students' progress, and other information;
Provide monthly attendance records for Salvation Army statistical report;
Provide daily transportation in company vehicle to and from schools and homes;
Maintain a safe and healthy environment that supports holistic learning;
Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in all situations and everyone;
Attend required in-service training, including child abuse training, CPR, First Aid etc.
Uphold all policies of The Salvation Army and uphold the mission as stated in its mission statement
Prefer a candidate with a BA degree. Minimum education is Associate's degree or currently in college or have two years of experience working with children in an educational setting such as a church, school, day care center, or after school program.
Must be organized, able to work well with others, and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
Must have a valid driver's license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
