We are seeking a 2 Youth Care Leaders for Children and Adolescents in HOUSTON with either a day or evening shift (See Job Description below)

The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all children in care through the provision of leadership and support to residential direct care staff on a given shift. Assists in the oversight of residential care services by coordinating activities, problem-solving & making decisions under the direction of the shelter coordinator and program director.

Conducts meetings and provides ongoing coaching and evaluative input on direct care staff and participates in continuous quality improvement. Participate as a valuable part of the service delivery team.

A successful candidate will possess minimum skills and requirements and the ability to perform all essential job duties. Additionally, a successful candidate will maintain client safety and confidentiality, be accountable and reliable, and maintain a professional and pleasant relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Provides leadership, supervision, and evaluative input to youth care workers (YCW) to ensure client safety, and security at all times assigning specific duties and responsibilities while assisting staff in achieving expectations in a team atmosphere. Conducts camera supervision surveillance for at least 30 minutes to ensure staff accountability. Night Shift Leaders also ensure YCWs are alert and conduct supervision checks on youth according to program procedures.

Work with the treatment team to develop appropriate skills groups for clients. Effectively facilitate skills group meetings with clients.

Also, the position is responsible for providing educational trainings and presentations to program staff as required by ORR and State Licensing standards or in promotion of program/agency initiatives. The Bilingual Clinician may supervise interns hosted by the program in service of its clients.</p><p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES</p><p>Provides individual and group counseling and psychoeducational services to children and families in compliance with professional licensing standards, agency standards, COA standards, ORR requirements, and HIPPA. Additionally, participates in and executes abuse risk management responsibilities, as recommended by the aforementioned entities and Praesidium. <br><br> Direct client service delivery includes, but is not limited to, the following clinical duties: conducting assessments; documenting diagnostic impressions; developing and implementing treatment plans and interventions; assessing risk and safety needs; providing appropriate referrals as needed; reporting abuse and/or neglect, or suspicions of such safety concerns to the appropriate authorities. Also, responsible for developing the content for psycho-educational group services to clients and the facilitation of these groups, independently or in conjunction with interns. Participates in on-call rotation for the facility, and routinely attends training opportunities as required by the program and professional license.</p><p>Completes required documentation of client progress within required timeframes; maintaining client records in accordance with regulatory/agency standards. Completing data entry tasks associated with tracking measurable outcomes and performance management.</p><p>Offers clinical impressions and recommendations during weekly staffing of cases with treatment team members. Contributes to the development of discharge plans for clients as they transition.</p><p>MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</p><p>· Master’s degree in mental health field, (Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage &amp; Family Therapy).</p><p>· Licensed by the State of Texas (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC Associate or LMFT, LMFT Associate) and in good standing with the respective board.</p><p>MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</p><p>· One to two years of experience providing direct clinical services, including psycho-social assessments, service planning, and regular therapy in English and Spanish.
