Full time employees may be eligible for Public Student Loan Forgiveness at OhioGuidestone and are also offered PAID medical benefits for you and your family!The Treatment Specialist will work in conjunction with our licensed clinical staff, as part of the team responsible to work with our residential clients, male and female, ages 6 to 18.The Treatment Specialist will help to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for emotionally traumatized youth. Successful candidates should be self-starters, positive role models, are good listeners and have outstanding problem solving skills.

Essential Functions:

To supervise clients in his/her charge assuring that a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained for all, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To handle emergency situations such as environmental, weather related and physical injury and provide crisis intervention in response to behavioral acting out clients according to agency guidelines.

To develop and consistently implement predictable routines for daily functioning, including wake-up, hygiene, meals and bedtime.

In response to treatment needs, plans and organizes Partial Hospitalization activities and educational groups for clients which promote change and growth in areas of social skill building, physical, emotional and mental development.

To present self as a role model for clients and in establishing relationships, maintains professional child care/client boundaries.

To supervise the self-administration of medications as prescribed.

To complete all required paperwork daily and participate and satisfactorily complete all required training, supervision and team meetings including CIR's.

Responsible for planning, implementing client partial hospitalization activities and documentation of daily activities.

If works in CBTC, as directed by the Program Manager or designee, will adhere to the specific Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court contract specifications that outline the requirements for Community Based Treatment Centers as defined by the Ohio Department of Youth Services, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, and the training specifics required by the University of Cincinnati for CBTC.

Attendance: Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Special Projects: May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.

In times of need, may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.

Performance/Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a residential cottage and wherever clients go on the surrounding campus and in the community.

  • Ability to physically restrain clients whose ages, heights and weights vary

  • Driver's license with safe driving record in accordance with agency policy

  • English reading and writing skills

  • Interacts verbally with clients, families, co-workers and representatives from outside agencies

  • Attention to detail and confidentiality

  • Ability and willingness to work holidays

  • Team player

  • PAARR training is an essential function of the position and must be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor.

Qualifications:

In accordance with licensing guidelines, all Treatment Specialists must be at least 21 years of age and must have completed high school or its equivalency. A Bachelor's degree in a social service field and experience working with the adolescent population is preferred. Must have a valid driver's licenses with a safe driving record and Car Insurance.

POSITION SUMMARY: * Laundry Workers perform a variety of tasks on varying shifts, including collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading machines, and folding clean linen. * Operates computer-operated washers and dryers. * Responsibilities include counting and recording the linen processed each day, making proper deliveries to units and, cleaning and sanitizing the work area including; machines, work tables and sorting area. * Performs laundry activities within well established guidelines to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met. * Delivers personal clothing to the appropriate resident. * The overwhelming majority of the laundry worker's job is performed while standing, walking and bending. * The laundry worker is responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned linen, etc. according to schedule. * Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion. * Is responsible for the safe and proper use of detergents and adheres to all safety precautions. * Work involves pulling and pushing, carrying weight up to 50 pounds, twisting, bending and reaching from floor to waist height and from waist to chest level. * Represents HCSG in a positive manner; is able to follow oral and written instructions, is pleasant, tactful and courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, residents and client staff. * Performs all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: * A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. * Experience preferred, but on-site training is provided. * Ability to follow oral and written instructions. * Must be able to be at work on time. * Must be able to read, write, and speak English as to be understood effectively by another individual. * Ability to recognize hazards and follow appropriate protective equipment measures, read and understand MSDS sheets, and communicate with coworkers as to such. * Personal cleanliness. * Pleasant, tactful, courteous. * Must be able to fully understand and complete all In-Services. * Must be able to be at work on time. Additional Requirements: * Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time. * Must be able to work around food and cleaning products. * Must live in service area. No relocation costs.
