The role of the PC&L Intern is to support the PC&L Manager and Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day management in accordance with group policies and procedures, while obtaining real-life experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.

Duties will vary, dependent on the educational goals and objectives of the apprentice and the needs of the organization.

In general, the PC&L Intern can expect to:

  • Assist team to ensure on-time customer delivery:

  • track shipments.

  • communicate any shipment failures.

  • Learn and conduct the implementation of logistics basics: booking operations, traceability, labelling, container management, etc.

  • Learn and assist the monitoring visual management system

  • Learn and assist in the investigation and resolution of off standard quality conditions

  • Maintain team communication boards including – but not limited to: SPC charts, QCDP indicators, team versatility (polyvalence) training, shift log, continuous improvement activities, etc.

  • Work independently with a minimum of direct Supervision to provide reinforcement to the Department in a manner that demonstrates Faurecia’s commitment to its seven values and the FES system.

  • Liaise with the support functions (engineering, maintenance, materials) whenever necessary.

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and support 5S improvement activities as needed.

  • Comply with and reinforce the Code of Management and Code of Ethics of Faurecia

  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Basic computer knowledge preferably with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong attention to detail and willing to listen, discuss and problem-solve issues

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight time scales

  • Self-motivated and task orientated

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Strong team player

Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Apprentice/Interns must be enrolled in an accredited 4 year College or University taking a minimum of 12 hours during the semester of employment or are part of a University credited Co-op or Intern program.  All co – ops and interns must be eligible to work in the United States and do not require sponsorship.
