Job Description

Candidates will have a "Hands-On" Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, IT systems, communications) and manage large-scale technical projects. You must also be a thought leader, driven with an ambition to innovate and truly be an engineer. This role will Research, Engineer, Build, Test, Communicate, & Deploy the solutions. Then train Level 1 and Level 2 teams to support the solution.

Responsibilities

• Merge electrical, mechanical and information technology knowledge to form custom integrated solutions

• Identify and initiate designs of a complex nature and conduct necessary research incidental to the design process

• Complete design projects through careful planning, concept development, calculation, design analysis, testing, evaluation, and implementation

• Provide mechanical machine design including, but not limited to sizing and selecting all mechanical components, completing bills of materials (BOMs), and maintain up-to-date maintenance and technical documentation

• Calculate electrical load (high and low voltage)

• Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product

• Produces specifications for products and chooses materials and components to be used in production

• Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design

• Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs

• Assist in implementing new procedures to improve overall product quality performance

Skills

• Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Development skills across multiple stacks

• Android, Linux, Raspberry Pi, Embedded Systems development and systems integration

• Machine design, fabrication, inventor, CAD, equipment design, BOM, an inquiring mind

• Ability to draft, read, and interpret mechanical & electrical drawings

• Experience with Electrical Harnessing , Grounding, and Hardware Integration

• Knowledge of electrical engineering in the areas of digital, analog, radio frequency circuit designs and electronic components

• Ability to work in a fast paced teamwork environment

• A quick learner who is able to take day-to-day direction from department manager/lead and work with little supervision

• Candidate possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
