Job Overview
This is a Mechanic Helper position that is based out of the Baltimore, MD location. In this role, you will assist higher level mechanics with the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment. The equipment could be new or used, customer or dealership owned, in the shop or at a customer site. However, this position will primarily be working on customer sites. Operational knowledge and jobsite experience is a plus. It is a Monday thru Friday, second shift schedule. The base pay is $29.30 per hour.
We are offering a sign on bonus up to $3,000 for this position.
Key Job Responsibilities
Assists in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Assists in performing scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment
Follows all company, client, state, and federal safety requirements
Maintains a set of tools required to perform the work
Provides support as needed to move equipment
Provides a high level of communication with company mechanic
Performs all other duties as assigned
Documenting work performed in CDK system
Qualifications/Requirements
Mechanical aptitude.
Willingness and interest in learning a trade.
Technical School/Technical College or related work experience preferred.
Good computer skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Maintain a sufficient tool inventory to perform assigned tasks.
