What you'll do:
Summary: ONS Danbury is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with responsibility for operating X-ray and/or Fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians/surgeons in diagnostic and therapeutic spine injection procedures. Radiographer is responsible for performing the necessary duties to ensure the optimal diagnostic quality of patient images including preparing and positioning patient for imaging, attending to patient needs during imaging procedures and applying radiation protection knowledge/safety procedures. Fluoroscopy training will be provided. No previous C-arm experience necessary but is preferred.

Position patient on examining table and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician.
Determine patients' x-ray needs by reviewing orders or instructions from physicians.
Make exposures necessary for the requested procedures.
Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
Prepare and set up procedure room for patient.
Provide assistance to physicians in the performance of procedures.
Operate fluoroscopy equipment
Work as part of the team.
Qualifications
Who you are:
Professional Experience/Educational Requirements:
Licensed as a Radiographer by the state of Connecticut, Current ARRT certification
Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information
Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional
Graduate of approved school of radiology required (two year course).
Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members
Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
Ability to understand medical terminology
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
Licensure
State of Connecticut
State of New York, a plus
ARRT registered or eligible
Working Environment:
Medical office environment. Physical ability to perform the job related duties which may require lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, pulling and pushing. Exposure to body fluids.
