WSESU Math Coach

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) is committed to developing and supporting practices to ensure high-quality academic and social-emotional learning experiences for all students. We seek a District Math Coach to work with the Curriculum & Assessment team and school staff to provide leadership, professional development, strategic planning, curricular implementation oversight, assessment leadership, and data analysis to promote success for our students. This position reports to the PK-6 and 7-12 Curriculum Coordinators, and the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.

Duties of the Math Coach may include:
Work with teachers to improve mathematics achievement, through a variety of methods including professional development and growth-oriented coaching cycles
Support teachers in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to align programming and formative assessment for core, strategic, and intensive layers of support
Monitor program implementation and support annual materials ordering, as needed
Collaboration with the Curriculum & Assessment team to:
Evaluate curriculum
Collaborate with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice to support inclusive curricular and assessment practices
Implement the local common assessment plan and annual summative assessments, including support for curriculum implementation and data collection
Develop and deliver professional development offerings for individuals, at school sites, and groups including teachers, instructional coaches, paraeducators, and building administrators.
Organize benchmark data and grade-level meetings
Deliver presentations to school boards, leadership councils, school staff, and other stakeholder groups as requested
Implement and monitor the Continuous Improvement Plan annually
Participate in district-wide PLC's
Maintain local data systems
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
holds a VT teaching license or is eligible for licensure
advanced degree or coursework in mathematics
at least 3 years of teaching experience, ideally, in multiple settings/grade levels
data analysis and interpretation skills
