Wound Care Nurse - RN

A family-owned and operated organization, Western Hills Nursing and Rehab has been faithfully serving Cincinnati's west side community for 30 years. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care Nurse to join our team. The RN Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound care for residents in our care. This role requires expertise in wound management and will work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for our residents. Hours are typically Monday thru Friday 7a-3p with occasional weekend on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities:Assess, plan, and provide wound care for residents with chronic or acute wounds.Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans for wound management.Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatments as necessary.Educate residents and families about wound prevention and care strategies.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care.Document wound assessments, treatments, and progress in the medical record.Ensure compliance with infection control standards and facility policies.Provide staff education and guidance on wound care best practices.Participate in regular wound rounds and quality assurance activities.Qualifications:Current Ohio RN license Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care settingCertification in wound care (WCC) or similar credential preferred.Strong knowledge of wound care products, treatments, and techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Compassionate, patient-focused care approach.Must be able to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.Benefits:
