Job Summary;

The Global Channel Marketing team is looking for an experienced marketing professional to oversee the development of all aspects of channel-facing marketing for a specific solution area, including strategy, plans and resources needed to enable partners to sell the portfolio.

The Global Marketing Manager will design and develop strategy, plans, resources, content and programs to support of revenue generation. This individual will lead the marketing vision and strategy at a global level and support a mix of global and geo-led executions.

They will have responsibility for integrated marketing plan development, program strategy, cross-functional team participation, vendor selection, budget management and content integration across the Marketing platforms and resources. They will be responsible for recruiting and training 3rd party vendors, establishing metrics and measuring program impact and overall impact to partner business.

Role of the Channel Marketing Manager

Develop strategy and oversee the marketing plan for specific resale channels within the organization

Work closely with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights needed to develop a strategy for all routes to market

Ensure strategy supports key revenue generating business priorities

Implement channel campaigns across all phases of partner and customer journey designed to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets across new business opportunities

Define positioning across routes to market, providing clear messaging and value proposition development

Work closely with product marketing, corporate marketing, partner enablement and education teams to collaborate on brand, content, demand generation and experiential program requirements

Developing offerings supporting multiple personas

Collaborate with channel marketing teams worldwide to define and deliver requirements for global program rollouts

Understand changing and differing priorities of territories and how these impact channel marketing

Responsibilities of Channel Marketing

Develop plan of record for channel marketing based on alignment with sales priorities, addressing market conditions and positioning product capabilities

Represent channel on key portfolio solution and program launch teams

Create messaging and partners-facing content to position solutions

Project manage the roll-out of launches and programs to the Geo marketing managers

Support development of resources needed to support channel-led demand generation

Manage creative agencies and vendors

Develop and report measureable metrics to determine program value

Promote and drive adoption through ongoing education about new and existing programs to channel marketing and sales

Job Requirements

  • Requirements/ Personal Attributes/Interpersonal


    10+ years of experience managing marketing strategy development

Technical understanding of the data management market, particularly converged and hyper-converged solutions

Experience in the use of analytics to measure and analyze program impact

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed, globally dispersed organization

Experience managing budgets, vendors and 3rd party partners


Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience managing marketing strategy development

In this role, you will help manage the business through three primary functions: Business Insights and Analytics, Strategic Analysis and Communications and Project/Program management. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and manage resourcing plans, enabling our team to execute and innovate at speed. You will serve as a critical partner with the Virtual Sales leadership team on ad hoc projects ranging from business decision support to working with external partners. Finally, you will serve as a Program Manager for key projects, driving achievement of the strategic vision and project execution. Responsibilities: * Develop a key performance indicators (KPI) dashboard and competitive insights for use by the leadership team to manage the business. * Establish and lead operating processes and tools for effectively managing the organization, including actively tracking key trends in lagging/leading metrics. * Provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership. Communicate findings from initiatives to management and the broader organization. * Partner closely with other functions relevant to the team, including but not limited to: Field Communications, PR, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, IT, Procurement, and the broader WWFCO organization. * Use cross-functional knowledge and seek to understand issues, trends and perspectives that may improve and influence the business. * Monitoring progress against deadlines and milestones (e.g. Weekly reports, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Strategic Planning, etc.) * Drive the Virtual Sales team towards clear, efficient and accountable decision making. Distill and cascade core tenets of the Virtual Sales strategy for the Executive leadership team, Virtual Sales leadership and other internal and external stakeholders. * Manage the process for defining and prioritizing strategic initiatives, including the identification of emerging initiatives and the calculation and measurement of project benefits with practical ROI and KPIs. * Develop common methodologies where appropriate and ensure they are implemented. Own the initiative master plan and course correction processes. * Ensure effective, on-going communication of the Virtual Sales Organization to both internal and external stakeholders and business partners as appropriate. Work with Virtual Sales leadership and the Field Communications team to establish, communicate and advance the Brand of the Virtual Sales organization. * Work with the Virtual Sales teams to ensure communications are consistent, balanced, and professional, representing Virtual Sales in the best possible manner. * Drive clear and consistent communication of priorities across the Virtual Sales org while ensuring that barriers and risks to those priorities are identified early and managed effectively. * Superior execution of effective programmatic support processes and systems.
