SAIC is seekng a dynamic Workstation Technician to support our operations in Bethesda, MD:
The selected candidate will apply standard system OS images, trouble-shoot workstations, and resolve networking issues in support of the customer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Md. The candidate will us commercial information assurance (IA) scanning tools for patching and accessing the security posture of machines such as the ACAS security scanner. On a daily basis use their Knowledge of, and experience with, antivirus products. They will also use the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) (or equivalent guides/instructions/directives) in support of this customer. Customer service skills as well as oral and written communication skills will be used regularly.
An associate's degree in a related field or one of the following certifications: CompTIA A (CE) Certificate; Network (CE) Certificate; SSCP Certificate; or CNSSI 4011 Certificate.
Within six months from the date they begin performing under this task order, the Workstation Technician shall obtain, and thereafter maintain, either a current Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certificate or a current MCSA Windows Workstation Certificate.
The Workstation Technician shall have at least two years of experience in computer support and be knowledgeable in patching Windows workstations using products such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Shall possess a general understanding of using Group Policy Objects to implement security requirements on Windows workstations.
