Overview

Provides oversight of IT requests for the Workstation Team by prioritizing and assigning IT support tickets and escalating to Tier 3 support when needed. Perform Workstation Team project management functions including collaborating directly with sponsors, stakeholders, project resources and vendors to determine business requirements, develop the project plans, budgets, resource assignments, communications, and fulfillment of project objectives. Purchasing of IT hardware such as desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, printers, and other hardware used throughout the credit union. Ensure expenditures are within budget and inventory control is compliant. Work with Third Party Risk Management Team to negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing on IT purchases. Research, analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues with team member systems including computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. Answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching or guiding users regarding software and hardware functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Manages workload of Workstation Technicians by assigning and prioritizing trouble tickets to resolve technical issues.

  • Ensures team members have proper problem and resolution information in the designated trouble ticket system.

  • Collaborates complex and/or high priority problems with the appropriate support teams for resolution.

  • Provide project manager functions for the Workstation Team that include communicating with sponsors, stakeholders, project resources and vendors. Develops plans, budgets, and communications. Monitors project performance (scope/schedule/budget) to plan and coordinate remediation, contingencies, and solutions to problems.

  • Engage third party vendor support when needed.

  • Coordinate all workstation asset purchasing and receiving activities.

  • Coordinate with business lines for delivery and installation of equipment.

  • Monitor and track workstation ticket management.

  • Provides documentation as appropriate (e.g., ticket creation and maintenance, e-mails, process improvements, knowledge base articles, monthly reports).

  • Run diagnostic and Anti-Virus scans on workstations, as necessary, and resolve any issues.

  • Delivers and performs system set-up of new & repaired workstations along with installation of additional hardware, software, and peripherals.

  • Follows all company and department policies and procedures, including Asset Management, Change Control, Security, Data Protection, etc.

  • Assist other technicians and analysts as needed. This position requires independent work, sharing information and assisting others with work orders.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 2 years of experience in IT related role. Minimum of 5 years using and supporting business line technology for members and/or team members. One or more years of experience managing assets (purchasing, budgeting, and inventory control), with hardware asset and software license tracking. Must have experience managing projects. Industry standard certification required. Experience working with Service Desk Ticketing (ITSM) systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar. A results-oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment. A successful record of accomplishment of providing excellent customer service and communication to all levels of an organization. Strong analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills. Demonstrated willingness to learn modern technologies through self-study and formal training. Ability to work with and communicate with all Credit Union personnel in the various departments. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities with limited direction. Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.

They need to be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. They must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all team members in every role. The person needs a good background in desktop management and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They need a demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. They must have a professional appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed with the ability to work without supervision. They must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

This role will also require some physical abilities including the ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies, reach keyboards, and operate basic office machines.
