Puppet is seeking a Front-Desk Receptionist to act as our Workplace Concierge and contribute to create a memorable experience for employees, visitors, families and pups at the Puppet HQ here in Portland. Our ideal candidate has recent work experience in a front-desk or reception role.
This position is our front line and we are seeking an individual that is able to create an outstanding First Impression on visitors. The Overlook area (the heart of our space) will be your sanctuary. The Workplace Team is the face of our positive office culture. We strive to ensure that anyone can walk into our Puppet home being authentic and feeling truly welcomed into our space.
We are looking for someone that blows the ordinary receptionist role out of the water. That handles everyday tasks with urgency and strives for new ways to improve and new things to do. They also need confidence to work independently but also loves to be a part of a team. To say you will wear many hats is an understatement. Some days you will need to be event coordinator, other days you will need to be librarian, shipping expert, or meal orderer extraordinaire. Interested? Awesome, we would love to meet you!
2+ years of recent front-desk reception experience
Phone skills (answer, screen, transfer, repeat)
Ability to communicate professionally and clearly to Visitors, Internal Staff, & Business Guests
Experience accepting phone calls and answering questions or directing callers appropriately
High level of organization and ability to manage details in a distracting, high-paced environment
Be able to work independently but also and collaborate
Ability to learn new software & process quickly
Knowledge of shipping & receiving both domestic and international
Comfortable with numbers and able to manage large expense reports
Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Ability to identify creative approaches or solutions to problems
Successfully manage projects from beginning to end
Comfortable with large order placement, tracking, and outside vendor process
Experience in internal event planning & coordination
