Job Description

What you will do:

Celebration of Success

Remain in co-chair role until May 2025 to handle the following:

  • Oversee the gala, orchestrating committees for Programming, Sponsorship goals (including P&L) and Awards; coordinate meeting agendas and intentions with Celebration co-chair

  • Sit on the Sponsorship Committee as an active member aligning the net proceeds goal to target prospects; provide fact sheets, talking points, collateral and tracking mechanisms

  • Oversee donor aspects related to gift component of sponsorships; coordinate with campus and Office of Advancement to ensure proper processing

  • Work with marketing and communications to design a promotion plan; execute

  • Oversee programming to include venue capabilities, contract and expenses, program sequence of events

  • At gala conclusion, oversee final reconciliation of donations, sponsorships, expense and final determination of net proceeds

Business School Gift and Scholarship Processing

  • Provide gift processing reporting, new gift fund establishment paperwork, etc., until new Assistant Dean of Finance and Operations is on board

  • Provide training to Assistant Dean; ensure successful transition

  • Provide training, scholarship reporting, data, and all related tools to the new Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management

  • Provide overview and training of scholarship award process and parameters for fall 2024 and spring 2025 award cycles; coordinate with new Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management and scholarship coordinator

Empowering Women in Business

  • Help create fall 2024 and spring 2025 syllabus (16 weeks learning modules), working closely with program instructor to ensure alignment with feedback, speakers, etc.

  • Oversee the mentoring program: coordinate recruiting, student and mentor profiles, matching 1:1. Provide expectations, training, periodic check-ins. Conduct survey at end of semester. Compile feedback and make necessary adjustments

  • Recruit, place speakers for 6 panels, 3-4 panel speakers each, for fall and spring semesters

  • Recruit, place coaches for 6 student teams, each for fall and spring semesters

  • Recruit, place workshop leaders for 8 classes, each for fall and spring classes

  • Oversee the Steering committee, 2 meetings per year

  • Oversee EWiB Development Committee (new), strategy, goals and coordinate with Advancement Officer

  • Determine other industry disciplines to bring into the program; coordinate with those colleges and schools (target Engineering)

  • Oversee and arrange the Signature Symposium, one per semester

  • Enlist donor stewardship, cultivation and prospecting to include financial and time/expertise donors

  • Oversee scholarship program, ensuring applications processed, committee to select, award processing; related donor stewardship

  • Active campaigning to socialize the course, recruit students to enroll

  • Attend classes when donors and/or high-prospect donors are speaking

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Degree requirements
  • 5 years working with donors and/or external relations

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Working with large scale donor events

  • Working with Board of Advisors and/or Business Community

Conditions of Employment

  • Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.

  • This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $61.55 per hour.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting..
