Since 1978, Working In Neighborhoods' (WIN) mission has been "to empower people to make informed choices for themselves and their neighborhoods through community building, home ownership, and economic learning." WIN works with community leaders, businesses, and most importantly, residents of the neighborhoods we serve. We have a strong reputation for developing resident leaders and supporting community-organizing efforts to increase transparency, inclusiveness and social equity in decision-making.

WIN is working with residents and community partners to reduce poverty, preserve and improve the community's housing stock, and increase access to education and resources that help families build wealth and create safe, stable communities. The VISTA will support WIN's economic learning mission by assisting in the planning and implementation of community-based financial literacy and homebuyer education workshops. The VISTA will also help WIN develop marketing tools and materials, resident outreach, partnership development, publicity and communications to support WIN's homeownership and financial literacy programming.
