Position Summary

Our Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring Guardian has enough resources available to service our customers while balancing the needs of our employees. Our Workforce Planning Analyst partners with leadership to effectively manage a $5M to $10M service team per analyst.

Major Opportunities and Decisions

Workforce Planning System Administration

  • Anticipates and addresses business needs for data, forecasting, and planning to protect our customer experience.

  • Designs, maintains, documents, and updates our Workforce Planning platform (Impact 360) to provide ongoing improvement enabling business partners to effectively manage their businesses.

  • Comfortable interacting with databases.

Forecasting

  • Analyzes and interprets data using statistical procedures, research programs or other methods, and makes tabulations as well as projections based on statistical inference.

  • Provides short (1-4 weeks) and mid (1-3 month) term forecasting snapshots to our business partners on a weekly basis.

Scheduling

  • Ensures staff schedules are updated appropriately based on customer demand.

  • Proactively partner with business partner to address capacity needs or to utilize excess capacity on value added activities.

Strategic Planning

  • Partners with other areas of Financial Planning and Analysis to recommend future budgetary adjustments to staffing considerations as necessary.

  • Compiles daily and weekly operational data for monthly readout to our leadership.

  • Implements relevant findings into long-term forecasting model.

  • You are experienced in taking historical data and combining business feedback to paint a meaningful picture of the future.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • You have experience building relationships in a professional environment.

  • You have logical analysis, problem solving, and decision-making experience.

  • You communicate effectively to drive change with individuals, small groups, and large teams of people.

Location

  • This position can be located in any of our beautiful new or renovated offices or can be a fully remote, work from home position anywhere in the continental United States.

Travel

  • 10% travel required once it is safe to do so.

Guardian has established an Enterprise Solution Delivery (ESD) organization to drive measurable, consistent, predictable portfolio delivery to accelerate and optimize value-add solutions for Guardian's customers. In order to drive these outcomes, Guardian is seeking a Delivery Leader to align all aspects of delivery and stakeholder management to deliver solutions to customers, both internal and external. This includes ensuring delivery standards are met against our methodologies, solutions are delivered against expectations of our portfolio and stakeholders, and active modeling/coaching behaviors in line with our delivery methodology and practices. The Delivery Leader is experienced with managing a team that will elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs with stakeholders so that the business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions. This includes serving as the business requirements expert team, engage and partnering with subject matter experts from the business. This ensures the value stream leader prioritizes the execution team's work so that it aligns with the sponsor's/business executive's strategies. The position is also responsible for driving consistent delivery, ensuring that practices and methodologies used by agile trains and teams are aligned to enterprise standards. Works with the team to identify and mitigate delivery risks and serves as a point of escalation for coaching opportunities/issues to ensure appropriate solutions are developed and recommended. Models the expected behaviors of lean agile leadership and growth mindset, influencing others to create a high trust, positive environment and drives accountability at all levels of the organization. You Will * Ensure that value streams are correctly identified, defined, mapped, optimized, managed, and improved upon over time. * Collaborates with ESD leaders to refine and prioritize epics and features * Manage a team that works on highly complex efforts to include multi-year journeys involving multiple teams, across programs/portfolios. * Ensures that improvement of the value stream is ongoing and that employees are always on the lookout for new and better ways of creating value within the organization. * Serves as a thought leader for the team and leads the effective prioritization and delegation of work assignments * Maintain a holistic view of the organization and understand where in the large scheme of things their value stream fits.
