The Workforce Development Receptionist/Assistant provides front desk and administrative support in the Workforce Development Division.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greet/direct/assist visitors of the ACC Dillingham Campus/Literacy Building in a warm and welcoming way.
Provide excellent customer service to a diverse population of students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Assist with outreach efforts of prospective students (prospect calls, emails, etc.).
Provide clerical assistance to Workforce Development administrative staff.
Responsibilities include:
Receiving office visitors
Scheduling student appointments
Answering and routing telephone calls and e-mail contacts
Providing information to prospective and current students.
The Workforce Development Receptionist/Assistant helps register for classes and find connections to ACC and Alamance County resources and services.
Communication skills that demonstrate clear, grammatical writing and speaking to convey and exchange information.
Customer service skills including respect and sensitivity to cultural differences.
Computer including word processing and accessing student information systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills for customer service with students, faculty, and community members including managing difficult or emotional customer situations.
Data entry experience.
Excellent dependability and cooperation, follow-through/detail skills. maintenance of the College's confidentiality/privacy requirements.
Minimum of high school degree and 0-2 years of related experience.
