What You Will Do
As an intern with Carroll County Workforce Development (CCWD), you will assist CCWD Young Adult staff with the daily administration of the 6-week Summer Youth program. The work you do will help support up to 75 youth, ages 16-18.
Essential Duties
Act as first line of contact for youth participants. Identify job performance issues and share with appropriate CCWD staff.
Asist with job development and matching youth participants to employers. Confirm work schedules and job duties with employers and participants.
Visit employer site and conduct two check-ins for each youth participant over program duration.
Collect weekly timecards for participants. Create and maintain database with timecard information.
Assist with creation of enrichment activity materials and delivery of program activities.
Assist Young Adult staff with other administrative activities as needed for program delivery.
Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn. Participate in a supportive work environment.
