SALARY RANGE: $32,136 - $45,000

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Industry Customized Training
SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/12-month position/PEERS
Position Summary
The Workforce & Short-Term Training Specialist is primarily responsible for aiding in the development and delivery of customized training and short-term training. This includes, under the direction of the Director of Industry Customized Training, administrative efforts related to community, state, or federal funding programs. The specialist will also assist the workforce and short-term training department in the advancement of programmatic and customized training services.
Essential Job Duties
Under the guidance of the director of industry customized training, administer college, community, state, and federal funded programs and grants in conjunction with the OTC Grants Office to ensure program compliance.
Aid in the administration of the Missouri One Start program:
Provide program assistance and technical support to potential applicants, funding recipients, and other department or college staff.
Review and process program applications.
Monitor training program activities and files to ensure compliance with the funding terms.
Coordinate and process all aspects of the state-funded training reimbursements.
Generate correspondence for companies that receive state training funds administered by OTC.
Maintain records and submit internal and external reports, as required.
Demonstrate customer service skills with clients, presenting a professional demeanor, and using discretion to balance college compliance and customer relations.
Assist with industry customized training to ensure services are delivered on time and according to contract terms.
Provide workforce and short-term training support, in addition to client follow-up.
Create and process check requests and invoices.
Maintain all appropriate files.
Submit required reports for each training initiative.
Function as a liaison with other college departments and outside partner agencies and organizations.
Utilize CRM to manage and update customer information, track sales activities, and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
Responsible for data entry and maintenance of the OTC service area employer database.
Assist with maintaining departmental or college records and databases.
Exhibits exemplary attendance and punctuality.
Complies with college policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, serving on committees and attending community events.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Associate's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Previous customer service experience.
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Two years of customer-service, work-related experience.
Experience with state and/or federal workforce grant programs.
Proficient with a customer relationship management system.
Experience with Colleague and/or degree audit software.
Experience working within a collegiate setting.
