1.Supports all grant proposal submissions including but not limited to NJLWD state and county grant-funded programs; maintains up-to-date information on NJLWD state and county grants, courses, instructors, and other document files.

2.Prepares various grant reports (e.g. interim, final, impact reports) and provides enrollment reports as requested by the Associate Director. Assists Associate Director with budget and enrollment updates for NJLWD state and county workforce programs for annual CPE reports and Middle States reports.

3.Conducts market research to identify current needs and significant emerging trends for county Individual Training Account (ITA) grants from regional Business Resource Centers, other sponsored programs, employment assistance for clients, Career Resource Events, and Job Fairs.

4.Coordinates events such as open houses, online and in-person, to promote certificate courses.

5.Prepares documents and records for audit in coordination with the Associate Director and Financial Analyst.

6.Attends networking events and meetings with representatives from various entities in support of developing new partnerships.

8.Assists with registration system, tracking, and updates. As needed, assists with entering manual registrations and maintaining course-listing database.

9.Attends meetings and participates in professional development opportunities to remain current with state grant requirements, emerging best practices in the field, and technological advancements to support process enhancements.



  1. Organizes and maintains information on all grant-funded programs and other CPE marketing efforts for online and hard copy mailings. Assists with compiling information about CPE courses and updating the CPE catalog and website.

  2. Schedules and proctors Certification Testing for all courses and updates credentials for digital badging systems.

  3. Assists with training and onboarding for staff and graduate assistant.

  4. Provides technical support and assistance to adult learners and staff on grant-related matters. Stays current with state technologies used in the course of assigned responsibilities.

  5. Establishes and maintains a cooperative and collaborative working relationship with the public, faculty, and administrators. Represent the University at related meetings, events, and conferences.

  6. Perform other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the position.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in supporting adult learning programs and/or professional education.

Additional preferred qualifications

  • Experience with sales, marketing, and grants administration.

  • Strong project management experience.

  • Experience with Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) or Prior Learning Assessment (PLA).

  • Experience working with adult learner populations.

  • Experience using information technology related to grants and/or student services, including IGX, Banner, Workday, Navigate, TEAMS, WebEx and Zoom; able to communicate effectively in an online environment.

  • Experience conducting workshops and/or seminars.

  • Experience recruiting students and/or program participants.

  • Experience with data analysis and Qualtrics.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, Zoom, and PowerPoint.

  • Valid Driver's License for occasional travel related to the functions of the position.

  • Must be available for evening and weekend work as needed.

  • Ability to effectively analyze data and create reports for staff and faculty members.

  • Ability to speak another language other than English.
