Description: Provide analytical and administrative support to department or division management.
Use analytical and reporting tools to compile, analyze and present data for consideration, with specific recommendations. Design and generate regular and ad hoc reports. Oversee the content, format and production of regulatory reports.
Participate in, and may facilitate, work groups and committees. May provide project management support. May design and maintain the department or division web page. May supervise staff.
For a department/division, abstracts data from various KFHPW databases, analyzes & presents data in a standardized format that is useful & easy to understand. May meet with managers and/or work groups to interpret results.
Designs, formats & generates daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports using appropriate analytical methodologies & various applications. Ensures report integrity & reliability.
Coordinates the ongoing distribution of pertinent reports/data. Defines, clarifies & responds to client questions, concerns or requests. May provide ad hoc data & reports by analyzing, verifying, manipulating & maintaining data in a variety of applications.
May be involved in analytical or other work specific to the department/division including coordinating computer hardware/software upgrades; assisting with annual budget process; developing & administering the budget; designing & updating departmental/division web pages & other communication materials; working with ISD on troubleshooting system problems; coordinating/facilitating communication with other departments/divisions; and/or supervising non-exempt staff.
At the direction of and in collaboration with departmental/divisional leaders, develops systems to capture clinical, financial, service and/or quality information to use in evaluating goal attainment. May maintain a system unique to the department/division.
May participate in work groups or teams as an analytical representative of the department/ division

PROVIDES CONSULTATIVE SERVICES AND/OR TRAINING TO MANAGERS ON THE USE OF ANALYTICAL SYSTEMS, DATA & OTHER TOOLS
MAY SUPERVISE ANALYTICAL AND/OR REPORTS, DATA, NEW TECHNOLOGY, ETC.
MAY ADVISE, UPDATE AND TROUBLESHOOT DEPARTMENT/DIVISION TECHNOLOGY NEEDS AND COORDINATE COMPUTER HARDWARE/SOFTWARE UPGRADES.
Minimum two (2) years of analytical, database, spreadsheet and/or financial experience.
Bachelor's degree OR a minimum four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) is required.
License, Certification, Registration
Basic knowledge of networks and mainframe systems.
Proficient with Word and Excel.
Ability to problem solve and work with limited supervision.
Excellent analytical, report writing, organizational and communication skills.
May require knowledge of statistics, TQM, team facilitation, HTML, general accounting principles, budgeting, patient education or SAS programming.
May require prior experience in department/division.
Two (2) years of analytical, database, spreadsheet and/or financial experience in health care preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or computer science.
Thorough understanding of KFHPW LAN and operating system software, ARPA, GQL, Visual Basic, Access, Lotus Notes; health care business operations; medical terminology and coding preferred.
