WORKERS COMPENSATION SPECIALIST

IMT Insurance is seeking an individual to fill the position of Workers Compensation Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and determining the extent of IMTs liability concerning workers' compensation claims. Other duties include preparing reports and paying benefits to injured claimants while maintaining exceptional customer service. A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Investigate claims as reported and determine injured workers eligibility for workers compensation benefits

• Administers medical and indemnity benefits for valid workers compensation claims

• Interacts extensively with various parties involved in the claim process

• Prepares necessary state fillings within statutory limits

• Reviews established claims periodically to prompt action and closure of the claim file

• Provides exceptional customer service to those contacted in the course of work

• Proactively collaborate with insureds, agents, underwriting, loss control and others to prevent or mitigate frequency/severity of claims

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A college education or equivalent and 1-4 years direct Workers Compensation Claim handling experience is needed to perform normal functions.

• Ability to interpret, explain, and apply worker's compensation laws and administrative rules and regulations

• Ability to analyze complex data, including medical reports, and make appropriate decisions

• Ability to read and problem solve

• Ability to pay close attention to details

• Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both verbally and in writing

• Ability to operate standard office computer system

• Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market

The salary range for this position is $45,000.00 - $91,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience

Fully remote work involves important payroll and legal considerations for the company. IMT has identified eligible states of residence for continued employment with IMT. Eligible states include: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
