Job Description and Duties

The Billing Services Unit is looking for energetic and highly motivated team members to join our team. The Billing Specialist position is part of the Billing & Collections program and will be responsible for answering inbound phone calls and chats to resolve policy holder, broker, and/or policy holder primary contact questions, accept payments, process payment plan requests, and handle all billing inquiries, to include complex audit questions. Our Call Center Representatives are often the first point of contact for customer issues and are the voice of State Fund. We are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to resolve customer issues and providing first contact resolution with an ability to make timely and accurate decisions.

Working Conditions

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend inperson Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.

This position has an option to telework and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs.

Special Requirements

New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.
