A Brief Overview
Oversee the day-to-day operation of Claims support staff. Leading a team of administrative/support staff in a customer focused team environment.
What you will do
Focus on customer service - the importance and the impact to the organization.
Assign tasks; manage assignments to balance caseloads, match task complexity with staff capabilities.
Create and sustain an environment that motivates team members to achieve desired results.
Develop strong cross-functional working relationships.
Provide coaching and feedback to team members; ensure appropriate skills and knowledge exist among team members.
Provide direction in the area of company procedures and policies.
Clarify team roles and responsibilities.
Ensure DWC compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Inspire trust and cooperation in others.
Actively solicit internal and external customer input.
Demonstrate an understanding of change and the effect and impact it has on people.
Effectively deal with ambiguity, stress and uncertainty.
Understand and implement continuous process improvement strategies.

Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training/experience.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience required.
Experience Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
Prior supervisory experience.
Knowledge of the Labor Code.
Demonstrated effective communication skills, including written, verbal, listening and facilitation skills.
Excellent relationship building, conflict resolution and team building skills required.
Strong skills in time management, planning and organization, and problem solving are also required.
Previous experience in implementing organizational change, process improvement skills, previous experience in working with or leading high-performance teams preferred, but not required.
The expected salary range for this position is $93,352.00 - $116,690.01. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
