    Areas of practice: We appear at all California Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards and before the California Courts of Appeal in the 2nd District (Los Angeles) and the 4th District (San Diego). Our diverse knowledge and expertise serve Southern, Central, and Northern California. Job Details Responsibilities:

    As a Workers Comp Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of workers' compensation cases, from inception through resolution. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1. Represent employers and carriers before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board in all phases of litigation, practicing law in compliance with ethical standards as established by state law. 2.

    Provide legal analysis and advice; prepare and file legal pleadings and documents; represent clients at disputed and undisputed hearings. 3. Conduct legal research; analyze and interpret laws, statutes, regulations, and policies. 4. Conduct discovery in preparation for trial, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production. 5.

    Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to avoid court proceedings. 6. Develop legal strategies and defenses for employers in workers' compensation cases. 7. Maintain communication with clients, keeping them updated on case progress and legal developments. 8.

    Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and organized approach to case management. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications: 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2.

    Active membership in the California State Bar. 3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Workers Comp Defense Attorney. 4. Extensive knowledge of California Workers Comp laws and regulations. 5.

    Proven experience handling workers comp defense claims. 6. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills. 7. Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. 8.

    Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining high-quality work. 9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 11.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 12.
