The Workers Compensation Coordinator is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients by telephone or in person by entering appointment data into computerized scheduler system.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Acting as a liaison for employers, insurers, and the case manager

  • Obtaining additional information from physician(s)

  • Faxing and scanning WorkLink forms, and office notes

  • Obtaining authorization for treatment form employer, adjuster or case manager

  • Assist clinical staff with authorizations for procedures and surgeries

  • Assist PAR's with problem claims or incorrect insurance data

  • Assist pre-verification with insurance or account questions

  • Act as liaison between WC representative and office staff involving PT and MRI requests and authorizations

  • Faxing orders and documentation and notifying staff of authorizations or denials.


The successful candidate will represent the WorkLink's program, have a positive, helpful attitude and ability to discuss issues with physicians and relay information. Having knowledge or Workers' compensation terminology is a plus. A responsible person, who takes initiative, exhibits a professional appearance and demonstrates the ability to communicate using acceptable business grammar will thrive in this fast-paced office. Excellent customer service and superior communication skills are mandatory. This position requires someone with flexibility that can support an office with hours that may include earlier start times and later end times.

All new teachers are required to attend the New Teacher Induction Program - July 20-24, 2020 The School Social Worker is directly responsible to the Coordinator of Student Services. 1.) Coordinate the assigned schools' social work program and assure that the implementation of the program is in accordance with local, state, and federal policies, rules and regulations. 2.) Provide services to resolve issues that may prevent students from having successful school experiences. 3.) Identify and interpret factors causing or contribution to problems affecting students' performance. 4.) Consult with professional staff about problems affecting students' performance. 5.) Serve as a liaison between the school and the family. 6.) Make home visits and conduct parent conferences to gather information which may be relevant to students' school performance. 7.) Provide individual, group and family counseling. 8.) Make referrals to appropriate school and community resources as necessary. 9.) Develop cooperative relationships with community agencies such as the Department of Family and Children's Services, juvenile court, and local mental health facilities. 10.) Provide information and community resources to counselors, teachers and administrators. 11.) Coordinate the reporting of suspected child abuse and neglect. 12.) Provide annual child abuse updates for all school system employees. 13.) Maintain records of reports of suspected child abuse and neglect. 14.) Represent the Board of Education on local interdisciplinary teams and coalitions as needed. 15.) Facilitate the Truancy Intervention Meeting process with identified families as a component of the District's Truancy Intervention Protocol. 16.) Initiate State and Juvenile Court involvement regarding the compulsory attendance law as necessary. 17.) Coordinate the Crisis Intervention Process. 18.) Participate in IEP meetings. 19.) Advocate for students/families within the school system and throughout the community. 20.) Plan and/or provide staff development activities for school system employees. 21.) Utilize appropriate local and state procedures to maintain required documentation. 22.) Prepare annual reports as required by the State including specific areas of casework service. 23.) Implement procedures to evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations to the Coordinator and Director of Student Services about modifications needed to improve services. 24.) Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Hold or be eligible for a minimum of an S-5 Georgia Certificate in School Social Work * Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and community. * High integrity, excellent character, and good professional reputation. * Abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators. * Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work. * Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. * Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. * Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
