The Workers Compensation Coordinator is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients by telephone or in person by entering appointment data into computerized scheduler system.
Providing excellent customer service
Acting as a liaison for employers, insurers, and the case manager
Obtaining additional information from physician(s)
Faxing and scanning WorkLink forms, and office notes
Obtaining authorization for treatment form employer, adjuster or case manager
Assist clinical staff with authorizations for procedures and surgeries
Assist PAR's with problem claims or incorrect insurance data
Assist pre-verification with insurance or account questions
Act as liaison between WC representative and office staff involving PT and MRI requests and authorizations
Faxing orders and documentation and notifying staff of authorizations or denials.
The successful candidate will represent the WorkLink's program, have a positive, helpful attitude and ability to discuss issues with physicians and relay information. Having knowledge or Workers' compensation terminology is a plus. A responsible person, who takes initiative, exhibits a professional appearance and demonstrates the ability to communicate using acceptable business grammar will thrive in this fast-paced office. Excellent customer service and superior communication skills are mandatory. This position requires someone with flexibility that can support an office with hours that may include earlier start times and later end times.
