Job Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Report Analyst will be gathering data from Workday to create comprehensive reports that support strategic decision-making. This position will collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide accurate and timely reports that meet those requirements. This position will involve utilizing various tools and software to extract and manipulate data effectively and support HR's initiatives, projects and programs that support HR's strategic planning and execution with forecasting and modeling.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Collect data from Workday data sources for reporting purposes.

  • Organize and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Maintain data to support HR analytics needs and ensure accuracy and consistency of key data sets, reports, and metrics.

  • Work closely with departments such as HR, finance, and payroll to understand their HR reporting needs.

  • Produce and deliver standard and customized reports, dashboards and ad hoc requests based on business need.

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc HR reporting including data interpretation to provide value added analysis.

  • Recommend information that should be analyzed based on key indicators, work to determine root cause, and/or identify areas of concern.

  • Recommend improvements to data collection processes, reporting methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop and implement tools applications for accessing and analyzing data by HR other stakeholders.

  • Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity. Interview customers to determine requirements for reports.

  • Customize tools and data sets for use by different customers.

  • Partner with HRIS, IS, BI, Payroll, etc. to obtain and utilize data from timekeeping and other systems.

  • Develop or enhance model and key data sets needed for predictive and prescriptive analytics for HR focus areas (examples: turnover, recruiting, performance management, workforce planning).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Workday reporting writing experience.

  • Minimum of two years of statistical modeling and descriptive statistics experience.

  • Ability to manage confidential data professionally.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic and self-directed.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources and database structures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills (critical, strategic, and evaluative thinking).

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience querying data and report generation.

  • Understanding of inter-dependencies between various systems and downstream impact.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Statistics, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with SQL.
