Workday Payroll Implementation SME
Our client is currently implementing Workday HCM globally. They are targeting a mid-2019 go live of the entire HCM suite in North America with a primary focus on Payroll, Time Tracking, and Benefits.
The internal team at our client doesn t have the capacity to manage the increasing workload, and now needs to hire an independent contractor to expand the team s bandwidth. Our client runs SAP for the primary financials system, but they also use Workday Financials for specific payroll functions.
Our consultant s primary responsibility is to act as the Workday Payroll Implementation SME on the client side. The consultant s job will be to help manage the implementation partner, make implementation decisions based on best practices, help setup configuration, testing, preparing data for the team integrating Workday and SAP, helping with documentation, and leaving a detailed knowledge transfer.
This is a functional role working with both the HR/Financials team as it relates to Workday. Accountants on the finance side are working with HR to post to GL and run payroll which is taking them away from their normal responsibilities.
To be successful in this role you should be comfortable working with both teams on taxes, accounting adjustments, payroll processing, and generating bank files. Having an SAP Financials/Workday Financials background is a huge plus.
