In this role, you will:

  • Configure, test and document enhancements, improvements and bug fixing of our Workday Finance system (implementation go live Nov 2020)

  • Manage release cycles of new functionalities according to business

  • Support the roll out of Workday Financial Management, Expenses & Procurement.

  • Work closely with our Finance, Sourcing and TechOps teams to develop our technology landscape and integration with the goal of creating a delightful modern digital experience

  • Partner with business stakeholders across the organisation to identify needs and opportunities to improve our employee experience using technology

  • Support decision making on business processes, design and architecture, as well as training and change management activities, utilizing business process mapping

  • Ensure smooth running of our technology landscape, supporting users, investigating and addressing issues and if necessary working with the vendors on resolution using our Jira ticketing system

  • Lead implementation projects to introduce new solutions and capabilities

  • Analyze and report metrics on our technology activities in support of strategic decision-making initiatives and for ongoing measurement and continual improvement

  • Support data management and data architecture activities to ensure high quality data

  • Create and manage documentation to align our business process and architecture with banking and privacy compliance requirements

  • Report generation from Workday for key stakeholders

What you need to be successful:

Experienced in working within the Workday tool specifically covering Financial Performance Management, Expenses and Procurement. You're also a digital native, a quick learner that is always looking for opportunities to make things better. You understand that you need great processes and technology to get things done so we can use it to create amazing experiences. You love to share ideas and find untraditional ways to collaborate and co-create, you learn from feedback and want to grow by creating a truly positive impact.


  • Bachelors' degree
  • 1+ years experience in Workday Financials (or another closely related ERP system such as SAP ERP, NetSuit, Sage Intacct etc.)
  • 2+ years business experience working within a Finance department with solid understanding of procurement and expense management.


  • Experience working with at least one or more modules in Workday - Financial Performance Management, Expenses and/or Procurement (desirable)

  • Experience in process design and improvement

  • Experience in data management, administration and system configuration

  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working

  • Experience with Finance best practices and implementing technology solutions to support compliance requirements.

Responsibilities * Drive concept and proposals creation for clients on Digital Advisory topics * Establish and manage growth concepts as part of a digital ecosystem evolution or digital advisory for our clients * Measure different audience analytics across digital channels and engagement platforms * Support the development of Edelman's ecosystem of advisory offerings, intellectual property, consumer insights, analysis * Foster a mindset that combines strategic assessments with rapid iteration, prototyping and experimentation based on data, culture and insights * Willing to roll up sleeves, translate complex data into simple, compelling stories, write thoughtful and compelling presentations * Effectively partner with Edelman's data, performance, strategy, corporate and brand teams to ensure the execution of earned first, high-quality output in a quick, agile creative environment * Understand the role of data in driving creative development and understand the role of emerging platforms in driving innovation * Acquire as well as grow business, advance internal initiatives and make connections to other Edelman IP, offerings and integrated solutions * Monitor and drive revenue growth against innovative client solutions/firm capabilities * Drive and participate in EMEA wide new business pitches * Collaborate with peers in other regions such as the US and APAC on best practices, knowledge exchange and synergies to drive one global digital advisory practice Qualifications * Min 5 years of relevant experience in digital strategy, consulting, business analysis or digital marketing * MBA or similar educational background * Experienced in digital transformation advisory with major brands, media or content companies; digital native * Economic and financial understanding, theory and practice * Highly entrepreneurial, great storyteller and presenter * Expertise in the communications industry is a plus * Consulting mindset, client management and relationship expertise; strong business acumen and new business mindset * Must understand the role that data insights and performance play in modern brand ecosystems * Must have excellent German and English communication skills, both written and verbal About Edelman: Edelman is a global communications firm built for a digital world.
