JOB SUMMARY: The Workday Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and functional administration and maintenance of the Workday Finance Application (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting). This includes but is not limited to configuration, road mapping, and enhancements to support scaling the system to meet expanding business needs. This position also supports Accounting, Finance, and FP&A operations reporting out of Workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and maintain optimal functionality of the Workday financials system, including installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades

  • Responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the following: Spend, revenue, and cost center categories; Business process creation and updates; Manage testing and quality assurance processes for system updates, enhancements/new features, and integrations

  • Build and maintain functional configuration including custom validations, condition rules, calculated fields

  • Responsible for integrations management and troubleshooting, including but not limited to: Inbound BAI2 File format; Inbound accounting journals from payroll, expense reporting, and HR systems; Inbound loan and deposit data from core banking systems; BIRT / check printing; Outbound to data warehouse and reporting systems; Positive Pay and ACH outbound files; Single Sign On

  • Develop and maintain financial and management reports and dashboarding within Workday

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations

  • Gather feedback from users, analyze workflows, and implement enhancements or customizations to meet evolving business needs

  • Provide ongoing support to end-users by troubleshooting system issues and implementing solutions, partnering with the vendor as needed

  • Manage Workday Financial user permissions, access, personalization, and system operations

  • Ensure updates are performed in accordance with organizational change management procedures

  • Lead the documentation efforts by producing clear and detailed system documentation

  • Develop internal training materials to be used to educate end users on Workday Financial functionality

  • Stay apprised and share up to date on Workday releases and new features, assess their potential impact and recommend adoption strategies.

  • Fulfill Workday system-related requests from internal and external audit teams

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Workday Financials Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of financial processes and Workday Financial Management modules required

  • Experience with multiple Workday implementations and support a definite plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology required

  • Experience in the financial services industry in a banking or lending environment preferred

  • Proficiency in Workday Financials module and business process configurations

  • Demonstrated understanding of the cross-functional dependencies and impacts to conversions and integrations

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research issues and provide solutions

  • Strong project management skills and experience leading large-scale projects

  • Experience with managing third-party vendors and industry partners

  • Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills with technical and business audiences

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience in JIRA and Confluence preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines

The pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience. $115,000 (entry level qualifications) to $130,000 (highly experienced).
