Jabil is seeking an experienced Workcell Manager to work in the Hendersonville, North Carolina location! The Workcell Manager will drive continuous improvement in operational metrics while maximizing profitability within the business unit. They will also drive the team to exceed customer expectations while also providing exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Identify people requirements that meet the needs of Workcell and the customer/product (i.e. # of ME's, QE's, TE's, IE's)

  • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, and personal development goals).

  • Provide ongoing feedback to Functional Managers on team members' contributions to the Workcell.

  • Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and in the achievement of the customer and Workcell goals.

  • Define, develop, and implement a customer/work cell strategy that contributes to the campus's strategic directions.

  • Develop an understanding of the Functional business strategies as they pertain to the work cell/customer.

  • Identify resource requirements that meet the needs of the work cell and the customer/product (i.e. machines, lines, visuals).

  • Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).

  • Complete the variance of actual results versus the forecast on time and communicate results to the Business Unit Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, Operations Manager, and Workcell Team.

  • Train the work cell teams on the validity of management by metrics and the team monitors all work cell metrics.

  • Review all internal and external business plans, process changes, and personnel changes related to Workcell. Influence win/win outcomes on unreasonable demands and bad plans.

  • Other duties that may be assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's Degree Required OR Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • At least 9 years of experience working in a Manufacturing Environment or similar related experience and education.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Supervisory role.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
