Definition

Assists in handling phone traffic, coordinating events and exhibits for the RCA Gallery Director. During regular hours and special events, this position is responsible for ensuring the gallery is clean and that visitors follow the rules.  They are responsible for monitoring and keeping artwork safe while the gallery is open.  Job Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, answer the phone, respond to questions, and field sales inquiries.

  • Promote current and upcoming exhibits and ensure that visitors do not damage any works in the gallery.

  • General cleaning of gallery spaces

  • Assist the RCA Gallery Director in the physical installation of exhibits. This may include painting or repairing walls and pedestals, allocating display materials and removing artwork when the exhibit is over.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Proficiency in managing the gallery's information technology and computer systems.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned
