You will serve as a WOODWORKER (BLOCKER & BRACER) in the Distribution Branch, Cargo Movement Section of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR, which provides wide-ranging logistics and supply support services to our joint warfighters, allied forces, and coalition partners in teh Mid-Pacific and beyond.

You will make and repair wood supply, storage, and shipping containers, which typically require complete custom building involving complex construction plans and work procedures.
You will plan, lay out, and construct the complete range of standard and non-standard shipping/storage containers, including containers for items of irregular size and shape.
You will use and maintain various types of hand and/or power tools for woodworking.
You will certify transportation of hazardous materials via all modes.
You will perform a wide variety of standard and specialized preservation and/or packing work.
You will determine methods and materials and develop plans for special bracing/blocking demands.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
You will be required to be certified to work with and/or remove hazardous materials.
You will be required to lift, carry, and position tools and materials weighing up to 45 pounds and often move or position extremely heavy items using jacks, levers, floor hoists, cranes, or assistance from other workers.
You will be required handle explosives and ammunitions.
This is a Mission Essential position. requiring you to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
You must be removed from military recall status.
