Job Description Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for supervising and executing daily operations relating to concrete form carpentry in a safe and efficient way.

Responsibilities

  • Produce wood forms and Styrofoam block outs for concrete production using a wide variety of machinery including but not limited to table saws, radial saws, and staple guns

  • Read shop/engineering drawings and construct forms per those specifications

  • Lead a team and inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met

  • Maintain open lines of communication between team members, and management

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of carpentry or related experience preferred

  • Experience leading a team in a related industry preferred

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day

Job Description Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying drawings per specifications and customer requirements. Prepare/maintain accurate standard drawings and templates. Work closely with Division Engineer, Sales, Production and Quality Control to ensure the product is built according to the latest part or shop drawings. Other duties will include, but are not limited to: * Create 2D precast shop drawings utilizing the latest AutoCAD software. Including reinforcing layouts, and basic 3D extruded models. * Create special manufacturing drawings for immediate production * Adhere to customer (internal and external) volumes, timelines and expectations * Prepare product assembly or shop drawings for existing/new products as needed for sales staff and special drawings for plant projects as needed * Work with Quality Control Inspector to learn requirements of process control, inspection, and testing in production * Update/maintain digital database (i.e. project and engineering documents) * Other duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
