JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing the administration, oversight supervision and leadership of the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP) and Illinois Wisewoman Program (IWP) in McHenry County; ensuring medical delivery system access, case management, quality assurance of client services, data and fiscal management, caseload attainment, and education/outreach of the community.

HOURS: Monday through Friday with some night and weekend on-call.

JOB FUNCTION:

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans, manages, directs, monitors and evaluates both the administrative, client services/case management functions of the IBCCP and IWP program.

  • Supervises, trains and evaluates program staff.

  • Works with State agencies to develop, implement and manage program budget.

  • Negotiates contracts with medical delivery system providers.

  • Collaborates with community partners through coalition participation.

  • Coordinates program outreach and education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Professional Nurse licensed in the state of Illinois.

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing, business, or health education, recommended.

  • Two years of management or supervisory experience in the field of Women's Health preferred.

Health Dept other requirement COVID vaccinations

All Health Department staff are required to be up to date on the Covid vaccination series as determined by the CDC, including all primary series doses and boosters including the 2023 September booster as a term and condition of employment with the Department. In addition, proof of all vaccines are mandatory for employment with the Health Dept., including the flu vaccine.
